I placed my first order of Shellac today to be delivered to Northern Ireland and the delivery charge is £18 which is fair for the amount of goods I ordered (my order was approx £300 which is way above the 'free delivery for orders over £125' but Northern Ireland doesnt qualify for this)..

Now I am wondering if I need a followup order of say one or two shellac colours am I going to have to pay this standard charge for delivery. This would mean that I would have to make a large order to make it worth while or accept that I will have to factor this in my pricing :-(

Northern Ireland is in the UK - its just not on the mainland. If I send a letter/parcel from Northern Ireland to Mainland UK there is no difference in price if I were to send it from within Mainland UK. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I understand that CND are at the mercy of the couriers, but I wonder if it would be worth while trying to find a more reasonable alternative for us NI Geeks.

I am not bitching - just a bit frustrated :)

Many thanks!

I am guessing you ordered from sweet squared why have you not ordered from creative in Dublin I don't think the delivery would be that expensive.

The problem is that it is hazardous items over the sea. The courier charge is actually twice that regardless of if you order £300 or £10 :(

Ordering from Dublin should avoid that though as it can go ground :)

Didn't think of doing it through Dublin! Doh! Will look at that future :)

Am so excited about my delivery though :)

Customer service was excellent!

This also applies to the channel islands..............

Yes Georgina is right, I think you would have been better off if you'd ordered from Dublin... give the office a ring on Tuesday morning 014295122 (it's a Bank holiday here so the office will be closed on Monday)

The delivery is very reasonable and I'm sure it will be cheaper for you to do it this way.

The Customer service in Dublin is also second to none! :)

I no its so frustrating I try to buy in bulk so it cuts costs. But sometimes you just need a few thing my last order was for 3 items none of them hazardrous. Or even a liquid for that matter and it's still £18 :( and we can't order online nemore.
What about the euro an*gel? Does it work out more expensive? X

Liquids are hazardous :)

Trust me, if we could do it any other way we could. Remember its costig us £35 to ship it to you!
