I have this lovely old lady that comes to me to see me to "fix" (that's how she calls it!!!) her nails!!! I've done ibx a few times and they are getting better but I'm moving away soon and she doesn't want to find anybody else. So do you think the CND Rescue Rxx could get help. She has

ridges and they keep breaking once they grow a tiny bit. She is using solar oil twice a day.

ResueRxx is a miracle in a bottle, definitely worth using.

Thanks ladies, do you think it could sort that middle finger out?

Can someone tell me if rescue rrx is abit like solar oil? Do you just massage it into the nail plate and cuticle ? It isn't a nail strengthen polish is it ? And can it be used on top of shellac/ polish? Thanks xxx

It is if the same consistency as solar oil but it's no good over shellac as it won't penetrate through the shellac as the molecules are bigger than solar oil so if you use it over shellac you might as well just use solar oil xx

My Shellac ladies use RescueRxx over their Shellac & getting really good results [emoji106]

It CAN be used over Shellac, some will penetrate through but it will not be as effective as used alone

I was told by Fee Walace that it won't penetrate through shellac and is best used alone. It's just serving as a cuticle oil if being used over shellac...

Oh sorry, ok. I was quoting something I read on this site which had been taken from CND Facebook page but maybe they've changed their thinking on that

Hmm...I guess some people have different views on it. I know things change but I was told it did work over shellac, mentioned to fee & she said not to bother & just use solar oil...[emoji85][emoji87][emoji15][emoji23]

Just to clarify for anyone that's confused, RescueRxx should be used on bare nails to allow the keratin proteins to bond to the natural nail. The keratin proteins are unable to penetrate nail coatings so that's why it needs to be applied to bare nails.

The partial penetration is from Jojoba and Almond Oil, both of which are already in solar oil. As RescueRxx is more expensive than solar oil it makes more sense to use Solar Oil rather than RescueRxx however both products will provide hydration for nails when used over nail coatings.

Thank you, I knew Fee had said something similar, that's why I always advise to just use cuticle oil over shellac xx
