Hello!

I have just bought a few vinylux colours from a local salon! and just wondering what I need to do before applying it & how I should prep my nails. I have solar oil and citrus spa manicure hand cream.

Did they not explain when you purchased ? Also did you purchase the top coat as they work together X

Hi.
I'm assuming, by your profile, that you are not a nail tech
If so, prep your nails by filing to required shape, attending to cuticles, and thoroughly cleansing the nail plate with scrubfresh or similar
Apply 2 thin layers of Vinylux and 1 layer of weekly top coat
Allow to dry ( 8.5 mins) and apply solar oil.
Hth.

The girl is salon said for me to push back the cuticle and to use a nail dehydrator. Just wanted to know if I need to remove the cuticle from the nail bed. Thanks for replying, the salon was a fair bit away from me as all the ones close are Chinese or don't use cnd products. Would I need to get Cuticle away or would any cuticle remover do ?!

Yes I have got the top coat.

What would be best to get as a cuticle remover? cuticle away or the AHA cuticle eraser ?!

Cuticle away! Cuticle eraser is meant for daily use to maintain. Cuticle away is what you want. But you must be sure to remove and deactivate it with soap and water or else it will continue to breakdown skin and it could also cause lifting/chipping. It's a professional product so take it seriously!

Cuticle away is a professional use only product. As a consumer, you are recommended to use Cuticle Eraser regularly in conjunction with solar oil. When applying Vinylux at home I direct my clients to gently push back the eponichum, squeak the nail with pure acetone (in the absence of scrubfresh) then continue with 2 coats of colour & top coat.
