Just jumped over here from the beauty boards.
I live in a rural location, so my choice of salons is rather limited :I km hoping to get some advice to pass on to a "professional, as experience here tends to be limited....
I've had several different hair colours over the years. My natural base is probably a 6/7. I'm sick of the red tones in the lengths of my hair caused by the fading of dye. I've until around 3 months ago been dying it with medium/ash brown perm dyes, and using non perm washin/out to balance my roots & ends....this has been a good solution, as the non perm dont fade to red but needs to be done so bloomin often, and I'm having a baby in the next couple of weeks and need a low maintenance option. I currently have dodgy two tone hair where my roots are natural, blending into my red tinged ends!!!
When I've been to hair dressers locally, their solution is to use an ash base, but lo and behold a few washes down the line, the brassy tones are back!!!
How do I get rid of these dodgy ends? Or is growing the colour out my only option???
