Currently my hair is a light auburn, the colour is washed out as I'm wanting to change to a dark blonde. I am naturally a a dark blonde so I'm tired of dying my eyebrows to match my hair colour and dying my roots.

My hair is very damaged and snapped from bleaching so I really want to avoid bleaching my hair again!

Any advice on how to go blonde whiteout using bleaching powder and how to avoid my hair going orange?

Thanks in advance :)

If your hair is damaged to the point of snapping, the only option you have is to leave off the chemicals! Or the only thing you'll be doing with your hair is picking it up off the floor.

Get yourself some good conditioning treatments, regular trims and restore health back to your hsir first - if you attempt to get that colour removed it will damage your hair to the brink of having to have it cut short.

KHS is totally correct!

Quality lightening products in the right hands won't cause damage to your hair. However, once the hair is damaged there's nothing you can do other than cutting the really damaged pieces off and apply lots of deep conditioning and moisturising treatments. If you apply any further chemical treatments to damaged hair, it will continue to break off and if it breaks close to the root, it will be difficult to disguise even with a great haircut.

Hair will also break off if too much protein is added so check what shampoo & conditioning products you've been using. Adding small amounts of protein occasionally is fine but not at every shampoo.

In future, if money is an issue, try to find a salon that runs training nights or visit a hairdressing college for your highlights.
