Colour confusion

hi, hope someone can help. colour is really not my strong point but a client is wanting the magic wand treatment!!

heres the problem she has used a home dye which has been applied patchy 8 weeks ago which looks like a 8/0 she has 1 inch grey roots.

any ideas? i was thinking off using a quasi 8 thorugh all hair and then going back and putting in some foils 9/0 and 9/3 after would this work or am i setting myself up for a fall.

at least i know cut will be fine lol. please help much appreciated. xxx

ok, firstly tint wont lift tint so putting 9 over 8 will result in root glow but nothing through the length. you need to use a permanent tint for this as your client has grey to cover so 8 with 6% will be fine. if she wants lighter foils then do some strand tests with bleach 6% and a warm hi-lift tint 12%. dont do full head col, dry then foil, do back to back foils of your base col and foil col. dont forget to do a skin test!!!

Thanks so much. i really dont do alot of colouring. Will def try your advice. i ll let you know how it goes.
