Hi guys, my head is spinning thinking about this!!! I have a client who used to have full head bleach highlights, she is naturally a base 7. last yr she decided to go copper so we did and it looked gorgeous but then she then put on a dreaded box colour on Grrr and it was really red, it's faded out alot now and probably a base 6 but with alot of red tones and a 1.5 inch regrowth. She has now decided she wants to go back blonde, i have told her it's not going to be a quick process and she says she is fine with it but i'm worried she's going to hate it:rolleyes:

I'm going to do a bleach bath then full head highlights with an 8 colour touch in between the foils does this sound ok and what colour would you bleach bath it out too for an 8 and should i perhaps use an 8/1?

I'm a really confident hairdresser normally but colour corrections scare me:cry:

What your going to do sounds fine to me, do you no what box colour she used?? Because I no the dreaded XXL live is not very nice to remove.

Could you get her to come in so you can do a strand test so you no what colour it will go ??

Louise x

Thanks Louise, yep she's coming in tomorrow so i can do a strand test and thankfully it's not an xxl live, she had enough of a telling off when she put the box colour on in the 1st place, think i have scared her for life now haha.

I would proceed with caution as she will have a lot of blonde underneath it all. I wouldn't go any stronger than 3% in your bleach bath. Slow and steady wins the race!

Good luck!

Definitely lift to a level 8 and see what it looks like which is most likely light copper. You may have to use a level 8 ash for her ends between your highlights.

Thanks for all your advice, i did it yesterday and it was actually ok. i didn't put a 8/1 on in the end but wish i had because it was still a bit to warm for my liking, she's coming back in a few weeks to have a few low lights on the warmer areas but for the 1st stage of the colour correction it was better than i thought considering all the red in it:biggrin:
