Novice question here sorry! Have had my hair coloured today buy a different hairdresser for the first time in 6 years and low and behold....I asked for a mid brown, I've come away black. WAH. Any tips on fading it out slightly to make me feel normal again?! Tia x

What colour was you before?
Did she pre pig it with a colour first (red, orange or yellow) or did she just put a brown straight on?

Would you go back to the salon and get them to rectify it?

If not buy a clarifying shampoo (deep cleansing) that'll fade it slightly but make sure you're using a treatment conditioner as the shampoo will dry your hair.

Do others agree how dark it is? Sometimes when you're used to one colour it'll make a new colour seem too dark/light/warm etc.

She's mobile so no salon to take issue with or I would :( She just put the brown straight on, I was an ombre like colour before (just from fading!) Mid brown on top and blondey ends, I just wanted to even out the brown all over. Before the ombre colour my natural colour is very dark so definitely used to it dark....boyfriends been calling me Morticia (Addams) all day! Not funny!

Will try clarifying shampoo thank you! X

It fades even quicker if you put your head in the washing machine ;)

😂 I've just seen this.

Yes leave the shampoo how daft am I recommending shampoo for hair when it should obviously be washing powder 😂

Would that be Daz or Persil ? Lol

Please OP don't be putting washing powder on your hair you will destroy it - if you've ever washed bits by hand thst can't be machine washed and how dry your hands are after? It will effect your hair worse.

Personally I prefer surf. And a smidge of lenor fabric conditioner to soften the hair :)

I love seeing the crazy answers on this site

😂 how can we forget the lenor 💆

Our level 2 tutor at college told us to use fabric conditioner on our training heads instead of hair conditioner.
