Hi guys not posted on the hair forum before as most of my threads have been subjected to nails so here goes my first post :)

i had an interview at a high end salon in my area, and have been invited back for a few hours next week so they can see my work ... i have to do a colour, cut & blow which is no problem, just wondering if anyone has any ideas for the colour?
the model i am taking has a mahogany colour on her hair atm...she is wanting to go brown, but as it is preferable that i use foil i need to think of something extra to add in using foil...i dont think her hair would lift to a nice blonde so i was thinking of puttin a brown on all over and adding some red slices? do you guys have any other suggestions?
Thanks!
X
Very nervous!

That sounds like a good idea, or do a medium brown all over (depending on her current depth) and deeper browns through the foils as well as some reds?

that souns good thanks :) i was also thinking if she wanted to stay red all over, and put brown foils in? but not sure if the brown would show up that much :/ finding it hard trying to think of ideas! x

she is roughly a depth 5 maybe could get away with a depth 6

What colours will you be using?

I wont know till i go into the salon which is the scary thing....they use wella professional colour and iv never used them before we use fudge at the salon i am at atm

I was at a show a couple of weeks ago and they had done a model a base 3 in Wella Colour Touch. Then through the top they put some bright blue and silver slices. It doesn't sound that amazing as I describe it but it was. To describe it - it was like the times you see the flash of a kingfisher but had to take a second look. Couldn't see it much as the model just sat there but when she moved her hair - wow! it was electric. All Wella stuff. I didn't write down the recipe but I know the main colour was 3 in Colour touch but not sure about the blues and silvers. I think they were Koleston Perfect though.

I reckon you could do similar with a really strong burgundy too. Maybe a bit of pink as accent. One thing I did notice which I thought was clever. The first slice (the lowest one) was just that a slice, then the second was a bit thinner and the last one (the top one but not right at the top if you know what I mean the main colour going over it), was actually weaved so it wasn't a jump from block to main colour. It worked really well. I wish I could find a photo of it. Why not go to the wholesalers and have a trawl through the Wella colour charts before next week.

GOOD LUCK
