For as long as I’ve known whenever I’ve done a full head colour I have always put a plastic head cap on top, I have done this mainly to keep the heat inside but also as many of my clients wear glasses and like to read magazines / do work whilst there colour is processing. However it has came to my attention that this can hinder a colour and stop oxidisation?

Really?? Iv always used plastic caps on clients and still do. I was tought it develops better and gives better white coverage on resistant hair I don’t recall why however it’s just become habit. I wasn’t aware things had changed....

I was talking to my wella rep today and they said that the caps stop the colour oxidising properly and covering 100% as I had posted previously about stubborn greys.. I was baffled lol

I got trained to never put a plastic cap on the head with full head colour as it stops it oxidising, The only time I have ever really put a plastic cap over is on a conditioning treatment. God knows haha

You can get plastic glasses sleeves from framar xx
