Competition tips advice?

can you use these with a gel overlay. I've seen you can use them with acrylic and don't need to blend. Would the same be for gel or would you be able to see the tip? What tips does everyone use? I've just been using full well but wanted to try something to cut my times down, is half well any good? X

Do you use these with gel overlay? I imagined you'd probably see the join between the tip and nail plate?
