Copper red from root smudge

Coppers/ reds are not my strongest point!

I have a client who currently has a 7 root and bleach ends as a root smudge and wanting to go to in her words “ golden copper!” I was thinking a 7/34 wella but bit worried it will be too vibrant on the ends, would you add base colour?

I would use colour touch on the mid lengths and ends, and yes I would pre pig, otherwise it won't last long
