Cosmetology school

Hi, I hope it's okay for me to be here as I'm not technically a licensed cosmetologist, YET. I'm about to start an apprenticeship through a private instructor who I respect and think is one of the best in the area, but the book she showed me she uses is the 2008 edition of Milady's. I'm just wondering if it's really that big of a deal to use this older version, or if I really need to invest in the 2012 edition. I would of course love to save money and use the older one, but wanted see what you all think.

Most of the info is the same, the biggest change would be sanitation standards, as they change. You can get the up to date standards on website for your state. I'd save the money
