heya :) was just wondering i got into a hairdressin course that offers a level 2 vtct certificate and was wondering will it b recognized and will i have the same qualification as a person that done FETAC level 5 and 6 in hair dressing:) thank u

I've no idea but vtct is the awarding body just like City & Guilds so their level 2 should be comparable with each other. A level 3 covers some of the same units but at a higher level so for instance, on level 2 you would be taught basic one length, layers and graduation and on level 3 you would learn how to adapt and personalise cuts. Again on level 2 you will learn the basics of hair colouring and application techniques but on level 3 you will learn a bit about colour correction and colour placement.

Do you have a list of units studied under FETAC that you could cross check against the VTCT units? Perhaps one of the tutors at the college could advise you further?
