hi all just want some opions really i have a client who is salt n pepper at back but white/grey at front, she wants about a 9, so do u think i should use 88/0 with 6% at front and 9% at back with a little 9/7?? thanks xx

hey what is her natural base shade? x

as far as i'm aware 9% won't cover grey. someone correct me if i'm wrong

hmm i am inclined to agree with the above comment, however if the natural base in the salt and pepper area are too dark then u wont get the lift on that area without it, hence mine asking. for grey the lower the peroxide possible the better for coverage, also if it stubborn dont mix in 8/7 like u said, instead use mixtone so u dont water down the double base too much x

thanks both, been to do her hair used 88/0 with very small bit of 9/7 took on back really well used 9% as was so dark, front i used 6% wasnt 100% happy with front think i will need to go one shade darker at the front next time, but client was very happy!

try using same colour on front but with 4% x

If her white hair is really resistant u can also pre soften with 6% liquid, used to do this my mums( v resistant White hair) now I use loreal supreme and I don't need to pre soften, think it's meant for 80%+ White hair tho :)

I tell my class to use a 6% on grey as it gives better coverage and doesn't look translucent as if you had used a 9%
