Covering red with Wella 6.16?

Hey I'm looking to cover a reddy brown colour, I have about 4 inches of natural base 6 really ashy and the rest is very warm 7, I want to use wella illumina but I'm unsure what shade to use to get closest to my natural colour, I was thinking maybe a 6.16??? Thanks Sx x
