Crystal Pedicure - gave it a go

Hi I am going to have a go tomorrow ith the shellac base coat and top coat at least then they will just soak of hopefully lol

The only thing Im concerned about is when you apply a top coat over the swarovski crystals, the sparkle isnt as sparkly and I think that ruins the overall finish. Any suggestions to stop this happening?x

it would be worth applying the gel top coat with a small brush though so that you didn't go over the gems with it and only in beetween or they would dull ,

mine arnt swarvorski crystals, just the gems you get in a gem wheel for a free quid. I used the star nails quattro sealant and they are still really shiny.

Can you let us know how the Shellac goes?!

just done my big toe it didnt take too long and i used 50 crystals I put one layer of gel then crystals cure then another clear coat of gel and cure looks good

Ohhh maybe i used more like 200!!!

I probably would have set them in soak-off gel. Make sure the critters stay a while LOL
OR apply a teensy bit of L&P at a time...

Hiya, I use Gem Tac, its specialist glue for rhinestones, so long as you leave for 24hours before use, its like concrete lol. Goes on white, dries clear. I woudn't bling your phone though, I always buy a case for the phone and bling that

I'm tempted to try the crystals on my toes, but the getting them off would be a bind lol. Mind you, hasn't everyone got a 6yr old daughter that would sit and piggle them off for mummy lolol

What are people thinking of pricing this at?

I charge £25 for gel/shellac/minx etc toes and would obviously want to charge more as it will most likely take me all day to do!!

I thought I may put this on my website, but put on it that it needs to be booked minimum week in advanced say, that way I would have chance to get the crystals in for the treatment rather than forking out now on the off chance someone books this treatment as I cant see it being all too popular, but you never know....

Yes though it's not exactly greeny blue, it's also yellow,pink lol it's one of thougs ones that has all colors in it but reflects mostly on what is near it, abit like opals but with clarity
