Thanks for the site though. I will bookmark it and return if I get a booking for the swarovski pedicure!

I'm really not understanding what's so new about covering the whole nail with swarovski stones? I thought it's one of the most common crystal designs for people to get if they're going out clubbing or something.

I get them from time to time and I charge $20 for the big toe, and $10 for the little toes. I also throw in a little plastic packet with a few extra stones in it for $5 incase they lose a stone or two.

Thanks Miss Sylk!

Honey - its a new thing to hit UK. There was a slot on a popular morning tv show and now everyones client wants it done!

I've priced mine at £55. Nails inc charge £115 for saworski's. As long as you're happy with your pricing thats all that matters!

Well its not really a new thing , gems on nails is prob the oldest nail art (I think anciant egyptions did it ) lol
But
its got a new gimmicy name and that makes people go ooooh, crystal pedicure sonds nice dosnet it ? and it was nails inc who did it . many people hear in the UK like there stuff as there normaly in the posh dep stores, so I guess in some ways it gets the added snobbery value.
:D
If a client was to ask then yes I would do it , lol good idea honey about letting them take a few gems to,

Hiya, I use Gem Tac, its specialist glue for rhinestones, so long as you leave for 24hours before use, its like concrete lol. Goes on white, dries clear. I woudn't bling your phone though, I always buy a case for the phone and bling that :D

Not sure if I can post any piccies of mine on here and don't have a website of my own anymore.

I'm tempted to try the crystals on my toes, but the getting them off would be a bind lol. Mind you, hasn't everyone got a 6yr old daughter that would sit and piggle them off for mummy lolol

Yeah try to post a pic of your blinged phone! :)

Use soak off gel maybe? x

Looks fab :) Am off to blingy-fy my feet now :) :) I shall use base coat to apply and a fine, fine brush to seal around the gems :)

At £110 in Nails-Inc, would these be something to price on the time and fiddly bit to them as opposed to the Nails-Inc price of using all Swarovski?

Hi Guys, I have done these for a good few years now, although I only now offer the big toe covered in gems, as it takes a long time to do a full set. I once did a full set of clear and red gems in the george cross design for a football match. They were lovely, but god it it kill my back  so thats when I decided only the big toe. I use Glaze n go form NSI, (sometimes I use nail glue) I use an orange stick with blue tac to pick up the gems and place them onto the toe. Once done I then put my UV lamp over top. That way my gems keep their sparkle. I'll try and put a picture on when I can. Oh and I only use real Swarovski Crystals.

what did you use?
I couldnt help wondering why it takes 2 nail techs so long to do it,..... maybe they dont have my high tech stick with blu tac..............

Thats what I use. LOL. Best tool for the job.

I did my own :) Took me about an hour and I decided sitting on the floor would be easier :) I will try to upload pics later :)

Hi how did u do them ? I have got a set tonight, might get her to have her big toe done, am thinking thin coat of gel then gems then Glaze n Go over the top, what do you think ?? I have prom nails and holiday nails to do next week so thinking if I do this might get more customers as I can see the young ones going mad for this. I will put pics on later if she has them done. :)

It looks amazing. I want one!

Hi hope you dont mind me asking bt exactly what do you do? do you apply a base coat? or just the seal then apply gems then cure under uv light? xx

I have been doing this type of toe nail art for aaaages! I tend to use a variety of sizes though, that way, there are less gaps inbetween stones, and you get a much blinger effect. I tend to prep the nail, dehydrate and cleanse with Scrubfresh and then do each nail in sections, quarter sections usually.

I apply a coating of The Edge resin in one quarter and quickly add rhinestones using a dampened orange stick. I also use tiny flat 'chunky glitter' inbetween the stones, Millenium Nail's silver 'randbow' effect ones are the best. Just keep going until the entire nail is coated, and spray with resin dry spray. I never apply a top coat as it dulls the stones.

I always apply my stones like this and they last upto 3 weeks. Removal is easy, soak them off in acetone, takes 5-10mins ;) I get my stones from dreamtimecreations.com

Ok now forgive me as this may be a daft question but.... If you only do the big toes do the rest of the nails look odd? What would you do with the other nails?

Yes, the activator spray, sorry I couldn't think of the word at the time! ;-) And yes the resin does dry fast, hence why working in smaller sections at a time, if more is needed, then I dip my orange stick into some resin and glide it over the nail, then continue adding stones.

Hi well I had a go tonight I knew Tiff would want them, she had them on her big toe only, so did Shellac base coat then Tutti frutti then the Gems then shellac Top coat did two coats of top coat so Hopefully they will stay put lol give her an extra 10 gems just in case. Picture doesn't do them justice they look awesome really blingy, so a very happy customer lol :)
