Dip powders

I am using dip powders but I can't for the life of me work out the best way/grit of file to use for evening out the surface (before you apply top coat), anyone on here using dip powders and what would you recomend, my electric drill medium grit barrel it seems to harsh but my 180 grit buffer file seems to soft?

180 grit hand file , then finish it off with a 100 grit buffer.

Hi, I want to try Dip powder myself but was searching for good affordable kits. I came around this page https://bobbyloving.com/collections/nail-dip-powder They have a lot of colors and the price is ok. Has anyone tried these yet? I would love to know if they were any good
