Discounts to staff

Hi all , in a bit of a predicament . I have a self employed beauty lady in the salon who pays for her room all her takings are her own . She wasn’t happy that a self employed stylist gave her no discount for her cut and colour . We all have our beauty treatments done with her and pay full price . She wants a chat with me tomorrow over this . I honestly don’t know what to say as I think she is being unreasonable . A bit of guidance would be greatly appreciated x

She charges everyone full price for her services but then expects to receive a discount from another self employed person working in the same salon?
Talk about a cheeky mare.
Clearly, she is being ridiculous and I suspect she knows this but is simply pushing her luck.

Is she normally a difficult person to work alongside?
Is this a good opportunity to give her, her notice to quit?

I think I’d wait for her to raise the matter, point out the obvious flaw in her argument and then close down the discussion. If you want to, you could point out that all the self employed staff working in the salon determine their own prices and offers in accordance with HMRC tax inspectorate guidelines.

I certainly wouldn’t waste too much time on the matter. If it gets tricky, close down the conversation by standing up and walking to the door.
