Hello all,

I trained in Hollywood eyelash extensions 2 yrs ago. For the first year I didn't really do much as I found it too hard but have got more into it in the last year and now feel more confident by the day, and really enjoyable too. I now feel it is time to experiment a bit more with the different looks with the sizes, shape, thickness etc...........

I started off using 8, 10, 12 in the natural thickness and distribute them as 8 nearer the inner eye for the first few, 10 for most of it and 12 on the outer edge. I pretty much stayed with this routine for quite a while. Oh and they were C shape.

I have recently started to experiment a little more and brought some 0.2 in 8, 10, 12, pretty much sticking to the same routine.

A couple of weeks ago I brought the mink lashes on the strip and am finding these so much easier and quicker to pick up as I always struggle a little picking them up off the sponge ( any tips would be appreciated for easier pick up). I brought these in 0.2 in 9, 11, 13. I have done a few sets now and changed the application a little to 9 in the inner corners, 11, probably to the middle and 13 covering the rest. The lashes looked really good after and my clients were really pleased.

The only thing I am struggling with now is the lashes sticking together as I don't think the glue is drying too quick ( I am going to look into fast drying glue), or could there be another reason for this??

Am really sorry for the long message but I would be interested in finding out how everyone else distributes their lashes and which is the most popular. Also how does anyone get on with the Y lashes and different types of lash.

Thanks for your time x

you could buy a silicone pad for your lashes, it is kind of a rubbery/sightly sticky surface, and you can put the lashes down ans the kind of stay on place. so you can either set them all out previous, or have your little piles of different sizes and pick 1/a few out and have them sitting ready for you to pick up, you can place the lashes curve side down, so the base and tip are sitting up off the pad, so much easier than chasing around the foam pads, hope I have described it competently enough lol x
