Hi,
My nail station in work has a dust collector which is rubbish, it blows everything out.
After countless hours of searching online for a dust collector I purchased one from Amazon for £40 which again is rubbish and is going back.
I cannot afford a Valento or anything expensive and was thinking of rigging one up myself. With a small hand held vacuum.
Has anybody done this? Has any body made a dust collector?
Thanks Jo

So the more I am searching the more I realize that there's the really cheap dust collector's which don't work from Amazon/EBay like the one I just bought and the one that is fitted into my desk for £30-£40, then there's a huge jump to £300-£400. There's nothing in between? There must be something out there that will do the job of the more expensive dust collector for a good cheap/reasonable price.

I have seen a few you tube vids where some techs have customized there own. One lady had small shop vac in a box and attached the suction pipe to her e-file. Great job but I would be worried about the noise. Another took the bag from the bottom of her dust collector and put a filter on top instead still not strong enough for me.

I have seen some great machines but way too expensive like amazingnaildustcollector, the Sunflower, Gulf stream, Valentino, but my favourite is the Twister DT.
There's no way I could afford any of these it's for work and my boss isn't going to pay for one.

I am getting absolutely covered in dust! I hate dust!

Do they expensive ones offer finance?

I've ordered the mig tornado and awaiting delivery. I've tried the cheaper ones too but think the investment is worth it.
I do back to back acrylic redesigns and I am absolutely covered in dust and it itches my hands

I had a look at the mig tornado looks awsom. I wish I could afford something like that.

I think efile and extractor fans are similar in that you get what you pay for and unfortunately the decent ones are expensive.
It's taken me a while to get mine and I'm glad I waited as the cheaper ones I had before weren't good quality.

That's the first removal with the mig. Glad I saved money going for it instead of the twister

That's awsom! You can see it's collected everything. Wish I had one :( lol. The thing is my boss only wants to spend £60 which takes me right back to the dust collectors from ebay/Amazon. I've thought of buying one myself but I wouldn't want to transport it back and for to the salon as I am already supplying and taking my kit into work as it is, I don't leave any of my stuff in work as my table is in the window. I'm a bit stuck really.
