DIY Ombre hair extensions

Hi guys

Ok, so I have a question about DIY ombre hair extensions. I am about to get my own hair dyed ombre style, brown at the roots faded to blonde (kind of like Miley Cyrus's short ombre hair) and I want to make my own ombre extensions also.

Now, I am buying a 20inch body wave weft, but I am unsure whether to buy a blonde one and dye it dark at the top or buy a dark one an try and bleach it at the bottom. I thought the easier option would be to buy the blonde weft and dye it darker, but I'm really not sure as I haven't done it before!

Any ideas/advise would be great!!

Blonde and darken it hun Lay it flat and use a tint brush to lay the colour on xx

Just thought I'd show you guys the finished results!! I bought a hair weft from HairPlanet, 20 inches in platinum - 60, and dyed it with dark brown dye, combed through to just over half way. Ta da!
