Do any of you do Gelish, or similar, with dip-paraffin wax?

As the title says really - I have always told clients that they can't have both together because i didn't think it was ideal because of firstly the 'dry' manicure, i always use loads of rich creams etc. and secondly on my training was told to avoid any extreme heat for at least 2 hrs after having Gelish. So thought after -the dip method (heat) no good. Before loads of creams, paraffin wax leaving nails highly hydrated etc. also no good - although my thinking maybe the best method if totally scrubbed prior Gelish ???
So im now asking because a luxury manicure client would love to try the Gelish at the same time and has said 'well we can try it it and see, dosen't matter if it doesn't last'
As i say i do the dip hand method which is the part they all love the most and have never had anyone think its unhygienic or otherwise infact they all rebook - so do anyone of you do this treatment and which is your preferred method of it working - before / after ???
I have searched and found a couple of Shellac and minx users that apply wax after but not sure if its dipping the hand in , so any regular 'do-ers' advice would be great and much appreciated , after my very long post x

Hello

I have done Gelish post paraffin wax but I don't use the dip method, I brush. Not that this makes a difference as obviously the nails are still covered and hydrated.

As long as your prep is thorough you should be absolutely fine as you will dehydrate the nail plate and your ph bond will play a key part x

Hi thanks i will try it that way round and see what the outcome is - i recognise you How did your 1st few days go?

Anyone else that has done this treatment please? x

hi just giving this a bump up to catch any day time viewers who maybe didn't read this last night - im sure theres more than one of you geeks offer this together

Didn't want to read and run, so just to say i would be interested too, as i'm possibly looking at introducing paraffin waxing too in the future.

Hi, Paraffin wax is a really lovely and popular treatment which iv done for ages and only added Gelish to my treatments a year ago so as you can imagine clients are wanted to have both but iv always told them they can't. One client happily books 2 separate days to have done and i give her a discount, however i think time wise i lose out needing to book separate.
So with another client specifically requesting and happy to try at the same time thought it might be worth giving it a go so i was hoping for more response - she's coming tomorrow so ill get to know and let you know x

I always do Spa manicure this way.
1. Relax hand bath with salt
2. Manicure
3. Scrub
4. Mask
5. Parrafin wax
6. Gelish (but buff and wipe twice the nails with scrub fresh to dehidrate and remove all oils)
7. hand massage with cream
:))))

Thanks Cherry Berry, thats pretty much the way im going to do it. Although i use a thick hand cream to massage before i do the paraffin - when you say mask do you mean a hydrating mask which you leave on under the wax? and i guess you are getting good results with the Gelish staying on - this would be great news x

Yes you are right about mask. It goes before paraffin wax)) my clients love spa manicure. Result - 3-5week with gelish)))
