Do you need to pay your rent if you have given notice and want to leave?

hi I have given my 4 weeks notice in a salon I currently rent a chair in as I’m self employed and feel bullied and treated like dirt so want to get out... my contract I signed when joining stated I needed to give 4 weeks notice to recieve my deposit back. I don’t want my deposit back as want out ASAP..but do I still need to pay my rent for the 4 weeks or can she keep the deposit to cover it... just want out... making me ill being there..... help

If your deposit covers the four weeks then I wouldn't see it as a problem. Saying that, I would tell the owner that's what you want to do, don't just clear out your stuff.

Same as above.. if your deposit is the same value as 4 weeks rent then id say its fine. Otherwise the owner would just be giving you back your rent. Xx
