Dry cuticle prep or cream cuticle prep?

Hi, just wondered what you ladies do with cuticles when carrying out your gel manicures?

On my recent course, we used CND cuticle away then wipe the nail after before gel application. On a course I did 4yrs ago we used OPI pink gel as a cuticle remover then wiped the nail clean. We never soaked the nails.

I recently went for a gel manicure and the girl did a dry push back.

I'm starting out and wondered what you're all up to / what you favour??

I use CND cuticle away. It's great stuff.

I also use CND Cuticle Away before a Gel Polish application but I always deactivate it with soapy water in a small spray bottle and towel dry before continuing.

I do dry prep. I really just find it alot more effective. Using cuticle away may help for very stubborn cuticles though so it's not so uncomfortable for the client. x

Thanks Ladies. Think I'll try dry prep unless I have a client who's not used to having regular mani's or problematical cuticles, then I'll use cuticle away
