Hi peeps, hoping someone can help me? I'm suffering from a really dry itchy scalp, and was hoping that someone would have a remedy that can help solve this matter, thank you x

Is it dry and itchy all over or just a small section?
I have a section on the back of my scalp just above my neck but that's been diagnosed as dermatitis. It drives me crazy sometimes but I've been prescribed a lotion that calms it down. I also have to change shampoo regularly too. I can't use Pantene or many of the high street brands because it makes it even more irritable. I've been using a L'occitane one at the moment. What is ideal but doesn't smell great is using a coal tar based shampoo. I've used Capasal for years - it soothes the itchiness but you do smell abit like a coal yard. Your hair will feel amazing clean after it!

Hope that helps a little? x

Had the same problem last month. I just used tea tree shampoo - no more itchy scalp.

It's in various places, so annoying😁 have brought some Tgel which seems to have soothes the itching a little so will keep up with this for a few weeks (although it doesn't really smell too nice lol). May try tea tree oil too 👌
Thanks for the advice xxx

Does it bleed if you scratch/itch it? I suffer from psorisis in my scalp and it's worse when I'm stressed out big lumps of it 😞 it can get very itchy and looks like dandruff if it gets on dark clothes! I use a prescription from the doctor (betnovate scalp application lotion) which is the only thing that stops the itching and build up but smells vile) - Paul Mitchell special tea tree shampoo is brilliant and smells nice and helps a lot.
Of course you might not suffer with the same thing but the shampoo is brilliant for dry itchy scalp x

Beautyxperts, I use Betnovate! Stings like a b*tch if you've been too scratch happy but really stops the irritation! I keep telling myself to do it before bed but before then I've already scratched/picked!
