So I taught I would start a thread for all of us who have found or know of any 2 similar products, one being high end the other been the more affordable perhaps drugstore brand. As I am a firm believe in "it dosnt have to be expensive for it to be good"
Please ladys share your discovers, share your knowledge and enjoy the savings !!!!

Some of those colours are so not even similar!
I suspect that the pigments, the slip and the staying power of those cheaper products couldn't hold a candle to the MAC ones...

Buy cheap buy twice.

mmmm trouble is ...if everyone bought cheap from bucket shop drugstores....well ...we would all be out of business wouldn't we :wink2:

I bet you those lipsticks may look similar but wear dreadfully.

I do believe that you can't judge by price alone but you do get what you pay for.

I can guarantee they'll be cheap; I can't guarantee they'll be any good.

Personally I have about 20 mac lipsticks and altought they have a great selection in colours andthe application of them initially is nice. I find they dont stay on throught the day. I find the catrice range...even the the colour selection isnt as great....I find the staying power alot better and obviously who can argue with the price. By no means am I makeup snob ,the best makeup artists in the world sware by some of the drugstore brands. Just look at the list of products kim kardasion wore on her wedding day. I do not agree make up HAS to be expensive. But I would never apply something on a client with out having tried and tested it myself. You never know until you try

Am a makeup artist and like both Drugstore and High end. I tend to stick high end for foundations though but loreal and boujors do pretty good dupes of chanel and giorgio armani foundations.

Oh and the wet 'n' wild sugarplum fairy is a brilliant dupe of mac rebel. I own both and they are the same and sugarplum fairy is well known for being a dupe.

I do love mac lipsticks though but I think you can get away with buying drugstore lipstick.
