I thunk all energy suppliers are obliged to switch to smart meters soon anyway, I've got one, I'm with Scottish Power, they contacted me to install it. I played with it, didn't understand what it was telling me so slung it in a drawer.

I worked for EDF for 15 years before becoming a nail tech, they're not awful but not great either, to be honest, they are all much the same. Price wise they will never be the cheapest, they are too small. They're investing heavily in nuclear power which is draining their cash reserves. They are french owned and id rather put my money into a uk company where possible.

I've only just signed a new contract with SP or I'd be signing up to MoneysavingExpert fuel club, you need to be quick I think it closes soon but he negotiates a great deal

Amazing! Thank you....i have just registered to it. Im still a bit dubious with a few as i dont recognise them ;-( xx

I always switch using money saving experts energy club. It was cheaper not to be dual fuel so we use Zog for Gas & GB Power for electric.

Smart meters came with the house because it was new build. It did highlight that the builders left the immersion on so it was firing twice a day costing us a fortune.

Ouch!
Im going to have another go this afternoon an see what i can get.
Are the smart meters any good? Xx
