Extension maintenance

Hi lovelies,

I’m a qualified Hair extension technician and I’ve been trained to remove and refit every bond and replace the micro bead for the 8-12 week maintenance.

I’ve seen loads of post with people saying that they just move the bond and bead up and only do a complete removal/refit if/when it really needs it.

What’s the general consensus on this?

Hey! Id say with microrings you could only move up the beads and re clamp once, as the beads weaken and the silicone can slip out on the push up, so you’ll find your Client might loose a couple before they’re next due in, then do a complete out and in every other time. Could offer it to a close Client for a little bit cheaper and ask them to keep you updated xx

Remove then apply don’t move it up as you need to comb hair though tbh as make sure there’s no matting in the root of the hair. I fit hair extensions and train in Hair Extensions too. I’ve never moved them up personally on any clients I remove then refit. Xx

Yeah I think I’ll stick to this, it’s how I was trained and what I feel comfortable with offering. Thank you x
