Hi Guys!

I am currently at college completing my final year of Beauty Therapy (HND).

As part of my qualification I must complete Graded Unit 2 were I compare two peices of electrotherapy equipment and record my results to establish which is the better peice of machinary in regards to my clients wants and needs.

I have chosen to compare Facial Faradic which I learned last year and Micro-Lifting (facial area) to improve the appearance of aging/matture skin types - fine lines and wrinkles, sagging jowls etc.

As part of my research into both electrotherapy equipment I must include manufacturers claims but also industry claims - So I came up with the idea of using the personal opinions of others working in the industry and who are/have used these peices of equipment, are they really as amazing and wonderful as the manufacturers claim?

Any personal opinions on these electrotherapy treatments would be beneficial to my research and I would with permission include these as part of my Graded Unit 2 any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance :) xx

Hi, I use micro-current for my clients who are looking to improve their muscle tone and for those who want age prevention, so anyone from mid-30s upwards. Its low electrical currents are in tune with the body's own bio-electrical field, so for most people, they feel no current and there is no physical sensation like there is with faradic current. Because the current is very gentle, many clients find the pulling and stretching action of the probes hugely relaxing. Best results definitely come from a course of 10+ treatments then monthly maintenance with results being cumulative and steadily improving all the time. One of the best parts I've noticed with micro-current is improvement in skin alone, as blood and lymph circulation is increased, so greater exchange of oxygen and nutrients to cells as well as removal of waste. Skin is plumper and smoother due to more production of collagen and elastin. In short, micro-current is pretty fantastic.

Hi Kamikate,

Thank you so much for your reply - I appreciate your help. May I use your answer as a quote for my Graded Unit?

Yes of course.
