Hi all, I'm a brand new newbie so forgive me if something similar has been asked or if I'm not supposed to ask about something (same goes for all my future posts) as I'm new to forums in general and the search feature was quite scary!

I have ALWAYS wanted freckles, literally all my life, and I have these three little freckles on my cheek, kind of like an isosceles triangle, and I love them. My OH calls them the trinity! My problem is that one of them is really fading out and I'm gutted. I've started to draw it on with a brown eyebrow pencil, and it looks really convincing (my defense is that I really do have a freckle there, it just gets covered too much by make up - I'm not just pretending!)

So I was wondering about having it tattooed on if and when it eventually fades out completely. My worry is though, that I might jump or something as I've never had a tattoo and I don't want a massive permanent mistake on my face! Also, I worry that I might be allergic to the ink, I'm allergic to just about everything! So I thought about semi-permanent make-up, but I don't really know what that is.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thank you :)

Hi!

I had to smile when I read your post....I dont think I've heard of anyone actually wanting freckles....I am covered in them! Maybe you can come take some of mine away for me! Lol

I have 4 tattoos. One on my ankle, one on my inner wrist, one between my shoulders, and one on my upper arm!

The first one I got, on my ankle, did hurt but it wont make you jump. It's not a sudden rush of pain, it tickles a bit at first then feels like a nail scratching along you, then it gets sore the more they do it. But I'm talking about a full on tattoo, for one tiny freckle I very much doubt you'd be in there long enough to feel much!

I'd probably feel like having a quick injection, you'd be surprised how quick they are.

Semi Permanent make-up is basically tattoos but obviously it doesn't last as long as a permanent one...hence semi permanent :)

You must have seen people with tattooed eyebrows?

I would get it done by a semi permanent make-up artist not a regular tattooist.

But that's just my preference.

x

Hi there!

So sweet ur post.. Yes you can replace your fading frackle with semi-permanent make up. The results are very natural as the chosen colour of pigment can be matched to exact colour of the freckles u already have on ur face. It's a completely safe and painless procedure (we use topical anaesthetics in our procedures) and the pigments most of us use in UK are of pharmaceutical grade and have been EU regulated.
Not sure where you live, but if you're in Wiltshire/Somerset area, I'd be happy to consult you
Take care!

Thank you both so much. I live in South Yorkshire, so a little bit far, but I'll definitely look around for semi-permanent... I love my little triangle and feel like such a faker every time I draw it on!

I love your post, and especially because I have exactly the same thing. I have a little triangle of freckle/moles on my face and one is still dark but the others have faded.x
