Hello all,
Not an industry professional (obviously) and am looking to get some thread veins on my face removed/treated and am looking for advice please.
I have seen some good deals on a page called MyDealPage for Laser Thread Vein Treatment and am wondering if these treatments are effective. When I click through to the relevant clinic pages some clinics seem ok (based on the quality of their web page), while others seem a bit dodgy (cheap looking web page, mobile phone contact number only).
Is there anything I need to look out for? Is there a professional body that people offering these services should be a member of?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I forgot to add this, I am in Dublin and before anyone casts aspersions on my social habits the thread veins are NOT as a result of alcohol, I have had them pretty much all my life. Yes I enjoy a drink but would often go months without and there is no improvement with the thread veins. The area in question is on each cheek, about the size of a golf ball. They seem to appear worse when it's cold (this bit I understand) or when I'm tired (possibly because I look paler).
Thanks.

I cannot comment on laser clinics but your condition can also be treated by advanced electrolysis. I treat broken capillaries (telangiectasia) by using diathermy/blend method with an electrolysis machine. I have a level 4 certificate in skin blemish removal as well as being a qualified electrolygist. I am also a member of the BIAE. The advantage of this is that we now have to submit CPD every year to prove we are using and refreshing our skills.

Please go for several consultations and patch tests before committing to treatment and check their qualifications and experience. You may only get a certain percentage of correction but advice should be given on future prevention.

Thanks for that. Consultations are usually free so I'll avail of a few before making a decision.

If your going down the laser route I would reccomend using a skin clinic with a medical grade machine as aposed to a beauty salon that may be using a cosmetic grade machine, ask them the make of thier machine and do some research. We have a Lynton laser in our clinic and my thread veins were gone after 2 treatments x
