So paid a lot of money to get hair done at new salon and now hoping to fix myself. My hair is naturally dark ash blonde and the goal was to get an ombré from medium brown to a very light blonde. My ash blonde roots came out very orange even after toning with an ash toner are still orange. The bottom of the Ombré is a very light ash blonde.

I'm hoping to make my now orange roots dark (brown). I want to do this without the blonde parts becoming so ashy that it's gray.

I was going to try a semi permanent dye my question is should I go with a neutral brown or try an ash brown? I know it will make the entire hair darker which is okay my main concern is getting rid of this darn Orange!!

I was planning on using the Wella color charm brand. Thank you in advance for any advice!! 😊

I would recommend going back to the salon and requesting them to fix your hair. Usually most salons have a policy where they will fix it for free. It's their mistake so get them to fix it.

Can you post a picture of your hair?

Otherwise, go back to the salon and ask them to rectify it for free.

You should definitely go back, especially if you paid a lot, it's their job to fix it... However, for a quick solution, as this has happened to me, I tried toning them down with a color depositing conditioner but that won't do much really, just tone it down! You should really go back :)

Ok you are all right, I am going to go back to salon. Just incase it's still Orange what is the brand of color depositing conditioner that you used? Thanks !!

I use the Revlon Nutri Color Creme, there are a lot of shades, so choose the darkest brown perhaps :)

Perfect! Thanks!
