Does anyone have an ingredients list or MSDS for Flash Lash glue? I'm wondering if their adhesives contain formaldehyde or any other carcinogens.

My current glue is terrible. I'm looking for a good adhesive that isn't gooey and slow to dry... and doesn't contain carcinogens, any suggestions?

Lashgirl your post surprises me. I know some companies advertise their glue as formaldehyde free.

Does this mean it's actually formaldehyde free? Or the percentage of formaldehyde is low enough to legally say it's formaldehyde free?

Think I'm going to have to double check with my supplier on Tuesday as I believed I was using a formaldehyde free glue.

Yeah, that's what I keep reading, I was hoping it wasn't true, =/ I ended up ordering the Flash Lash after speaking with the rep who said the same thing. She said Flash Lash has a very low percentage approved by Korea who is apparently very strict about lash adhesive safety after China started mass producing glues with so much formaldehyde it caused injury. I'll give it a shot and make sure my clients sign waivers.

I am ordering from the US though, so I'll update to let my fellow Americans know how the adhesive held up in customs. I dislike the idea of it being in a hot crate on the west coast...

Yes, all lash glues contain formaldehyde. It is the wetting agent that is added in the dry ingredients to create the glue. Without out it cannot be made. Its heated and distilled to high temperatures to reduce the percentage of the formaldehyde, but it is unlikely that is removed completely. Afterall it is a preservative and without it, the glue would wouldn't work after a short time without it.

As for advertising 'FORMALDAHYDE FREE' its just a huge marketing scam. Take it to a lab, get it tested and I can guarantee they will find a small percentage in the results.
