I use foils for all my highlights but looking to try something different.

Interested to see what all you guys use and whats your favourites versues foil.

xx

I use the meches that I get from Sally's in a pink box. I think they are called Igora or something like that. I only do that because I don't do a lot of highlighting and am slow so prefer being able to see through them to see the stage of development and it serves to remind me which colour I did last when I am doing say three different colours. I feel I get closer to the root with them too. But that is just me being less adroit with foil than people that do them every day day in day out. I would love to do them all neat and quick like other people I have watched but I just can't. Meches is the answer for me. But I do struggle round the front side sections as the meches packets are wider than foils packets. I sometime resort to foils round those smaller areas.

you could try different techniques like wraps??mainly used for fashion or smudging also or new technique 'baliage' it is just painted on hair sweeped more so the bleach/highlift not all the root more natural look example nearly all celebs (jennifer aniston , lauren conrad(the hills). you tube it and check out how its done! just keep up to date on the different sites on line and stuff and mags:)

i thought baliage was painting it on hair without any foil/meche at all. . . i thought what was jus described was the "ombre" technique? either way yeah i use foil to but u can alter ur sectioning technique in so many different ways to keep your result fresh and modern. . . x

Yes baliage is without foil ,cotton wool and a flat board is used but strawberry 21 wanted other ways of highlighting:)

Easimech excel, best on the market. I'm a meche girl 100% and can get a full head in in half an hour.
