Hi, I've been looking for the perfect foolproof self tan for years, and need help!

My best (non spray) tans by a salon have been St Tropez and FakeBake. However, I tried both at home but could never get a really good result (and I always follow instructions to the letter!) So since then I've stuck to gradual tanners but as the warm weather approaches I want something darker that will work quick.

Others I've tried at home without success are Piz Buin , Make Believe and the one by Patsy Palmer (can't remember the name!).

After a magazine write-up I tried Xen Tan gradual tanner. It's great, so I decided to try to the Deep Bronze actual self-tan but had disastrous results with it. It just seemed to sit on my skin. The more I applied it, it would start to peel and rub off leaving big white patches. And the more I tried to correct it, it would peel off even more

So..... can anyone recommend anything that will suit my fair skin tone, also one that is really easy to apply (preferably one that doesn't need too much rubbing in and blending) . I don't mind trying something other than a cream for a change.

Have you tried the St Tropez mousse? However at the price and how little applications you actually get from a bottle of any self tanner why not have a salon spray tan? Then top it up with a home tan that they can recommend to you.
