Hi Geeks,

Well pedicure season is well and truly here and I'm trying to improve the service that I give.

I'm currently using a Belava bowl with liners but I don't think it looks particularly fab...to clients that are non the wiser it kinda just looks like a washing up bowl :irked:

So I want to get a new foot spa, but I don't really have the funds right now to fork out for a Footsie Bath (they do look fab btw).

So those of you that do pedicures and DON'T use either of the above, what do you use? What would you recommend.

I would like something that maintains heat, has a little swirl and that I could possibly use a pedi soak with and doesn't cost too much.

Thanks

Hi Mummycat,

I use a footsie, sometimes Louella Belle do a discount on them, so check that this type of offer isn't on now. In the meantime, how about a fabulous Thai treatment bowl, the ones that are in the dark wood. It won't give you the swirl, but with hot stones in the bottom to provide heat, along with the warm water, great alternative xxx

I have just brought a footsie from beauty express, used it at weekend and was lovely but as another geek said "don't expect bubbles"

I've just found this...it looks fairy easy to clean and a bit more luxurious.

Thoughts?

This looks ok, but babe, how is this different 'washing up bowl' than what you already have? Xxx

I don't think it comes down to what clients are putting their feet in Hun, it's the incredible service that you provide xxx

This is very true, however I have read a review about my pedicure online and it made me a want to improve.

The client said that I was lovely and that she loved the treatment (excellent massage, cuticle work, polish etc) but she thought that the salon wasn't set up for pedicures (I rent a space in a hair salon)...she said that the Belava bowl wasn't sufficient and that she wouldn't be back for a pedicure but she would most definitely be back for a manicure (I'm 100% confident with my manicure station).

So this has made me want to upgrade everything. My pedicure space is very limited and if I must say it looks a bit make shift at the moment...I was thinking taking it off my treatment list altogether, but I've been getting lots of booking for them recently.

I bought that pedicure bowl! Got it from tkmax for £24.99!!!!
It lights up! I must be easily pleased! Lol x

How about completing the belava set up? Everyone loves my bowl but I see your point- always said if I ever really take off I would be having one of those :)

Belava have a heating unit you can buy for underneath the bowl. I'm not sure if it vibrates as well. I can't remember where I saw it, maybe beauty express?

How are you getting on with it?

I'd really love one of those...but they're £199.99. I can't really stretch to that right now

Hang on for Louella or other supplier having a 10/15/20% off and it's not that much more than a footsie spa. Would be well worth the investment and the bowl can still be used for mobile appts or anything where taking the footsie out might not work.

I have the belava heating and massaging unit and it is fab. Definitely worth the money :)

Hey girls, was reading your thread today and have just came across this on groupon & thought maybe you'd be interested in it?? ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1371584320.654966.jpg
