hi ive booked myself in for a full leg wax on fri 6th jan but i shaved my legs yesterday would it still be ok or should i cancel and make another 1 later on dont want to go and they wont be able to do it plus im getting the brazillian done on the 10th jan so wanted legs done then go for the brazillian afterwards any advice would be nice plus could someone recommened a good bodycream as my skin is quite rough and lumpy thank you

I would say the hair would not have enough time to grow long enough, i would leave it 2.5-3 weeks before the treatment, I would also exfoliate and moisturise regulaly hths

I use creatives hand and body moisteriser in any fragrance, it is just lush, i have just asked a similar question as im going on a waxing course and i too was told it needs to have grown for around 3wks and lots of exfoliation and moisterising on the lead up to the waxing day

ill have to phone up and book it for the friday after thanks plus could you tell me what exfoliation is please i prob sound stupid but thanks

i use an sugar scrub by palmolive as you can use it everday or you could use one of those plastic puff s or a loufer not sure how to spell it lol

The best way i can describe it is, its a body wash with granuales in it so when you use it to wash with it is sloughing away the dead skin cells, you can buy it any where lots of companys make it, boots will stock lots of differant brands hth

thats great thank you plus whats the best to after waxing as after i shave i get bad spotty rash i dont want this to happen after waxing defo when i get a brazillian

do not shower or bath 24 hours after then keep up your routine of exfoliating and moisurising oh and you might get the chicken plucked look but will fade within 24-48 hors mine goes down within the hour but i don't ever shave now

thanks every1 cant wait but dreading it in a way cause of the pain lol

You need to have a minimum of 3 weeks growth from the last time you shaved in order to get the best results. The pain shouldn't be all that bad. The shin and ankles tend to be the most sensitive. If you keep up the waxing every 4 weeks the pain will lessen. Good luck... have fun :)

Ditto Huberella.

Another reason for exfoliation is to stop ingrown hairs, I find these hurt more being plucked than being waxed!!

Good Luck!

You can bath or shower immediately after a wax treatment, however make sure the water is only warm and do not use any perfumed products.Hth:)

I agree with this as well. It's more important to stay out of public pools and hot tubs as they have too much bacteria in them and you don't want to introduce that to your open pores.

Along with exfoliation you need to moisturize. I advise my clients to start exfoliating a few days after being waxed and alternate exfoliating with moisturizing... only until you see the hairs come through... then only exfoliate twice per week. Then, about 4 days before you are going to be waxed again, start exfoliating gently every day... this will ensure that no hairs are under any dead skin cells and will be accessed by the wax.
