Hi geeks...
Just been having a think about future plans, I've been doing nails since year 2002! Long long time and I still love and enjoy doing what I'm doing, work from home, suits lifestyle etc, however just wondering for future plans? What's everyone else's plans.... As no one wants to be still doing nails so late on in life, do you guys think of going towards the teaching side of things? Maybe doing a course in lecturing or something???
Who's planning what???

Well I'm not exactly in the same position as you as I'm just starting out in the beauty industry! But I do think about the future,I guess it depends where my career takes me and I really like the fact that beauty is so flexible and easy to work around family life etc. But I would definitely like to go into the teaching side of things some day.

I think it's great that you still have your passion for doing nails, you could use teaching as your next step forward and pass on your love of nails and years of experience in the industry :)

I worked in a salon for years, but now from home for approx 2 years, and like you say, love the flexibility, and still enjoy every set of nails I do, and all my clients have been with me for 10 odd years so will be sad to stop one day, but just had me thinking in years ahead what could I do! Always planning ahead!!! Ha!
Well good luck for your start in the industry... No limits at to where you can go... That's the beauty! Always new things approaching too keeps it exciting x

Aw thanks,I'm looking forward to it I've been wanting to get started for a long time! I hope I enjoy it as much as you do,that's amazing that you have such great client loyalty as well :)

You can always keep doing nails on the side as long as you feel like it,especially while getting your teaching certificate and starting out with that but you're right,it's always good to plan ahead. Good luck with whatever you choose to do :) x

It's always smart to be thinking about the future. I know for me, just getting back into nails after years in the corporate world. I'm taking lots of course to expand my offerings. Sugaring, eyelash extensions, eyelash and brow tinting... etc.
My plan is to open a Beauty & Wellness center. To Combine beauty offerings and chiro, physio & massage. Having people work for me / with me will eventually give me my freedom while continuing to earn :)

This is the other thing, the expanding bit!
I currently offer all other treatments except massage, and lashes is something I have thought about, trouble is being so full and busy with regular clients I haven't the time to train in new systems, new treatments or offer new treatments in my daily routine! Maybe expanding to bigger premises with staff is an option [emoji3][emoji106]

Look for a PTLLS course, this is a good start x
