What kind of gel builder do you want as there are several types:
1. Hard gel builder (file off)
2. Soak-off gel builder (soak-off or file off)
3. Gel polish builder (soak-off or file off)
Versions of all can be used for overlays (nail strengthening) and nail extensions.
If considering using a builder of any type, I'd strongly recommend that you a) test different products as viscosities vary and you will have a personal choice and b) take a class (conversion or introduction). A gel polish certificate is not IMHO sufficient to use a gel polish builder.
