Gel course advice needed!

Hello,

New to this...
Just needing some advice please.

I am booked in on a 1 day Gel Nail course in July and I’m wanting to do gels in my spare time? after work and on weekends to make a little extra money for my savings.

I know I need to practice a lot after the course and that I need insurance too but what else do I legally need to do? I work full time so I will only be doing this in my spare time so not sure what else is required.

Hello, you will need to register as self employed and complete a yearly tax return. If working from home you will need to notify your insurance company and if renting will need landlord approval potentially.
