So i did my first set of gel extensions on a friend. She is a fidgeter and does bite her nails etc but she wanted extensions. Anyway i did them 6 days ago and she sent me a pic of a thumb which has slight lifting on the side. Do i just file it down, file off the gel polish then just do a normal rebalance. Im so embarrassed that it might have been my fault.

Don’t be embarrassed it’s just one of those things. I’m new to it too, I did my friends last weekend and she’s got a bit of lifting on a couple of nails. I think it might be because the gel was touching cuticle, but I don’t the gel I’m using moves too much. So you get it in place then it bleeds into the cuticles and side walls. I’ve just ordered a trial kit of a different gel that doesn’t move! So she’s coming back to me next week, I’m going to file behind the lifted areas to try and get rid, I’ve got some line out which is really good. Hoping to be able to fix it but might turn into a bit of a rebalance x

Thank you, I think some people think because yr trained it should be perfect straight away...I wish! lol!
