Hello there,

I am new to this forum.
I recently started to buy eqquipment to do nails (for me and my friends for the present time). I have bought everything for soak off gel, gel and acrylics.
Although i am doing my research for perfect application for about 4 months now, it seems completly different when it comes to action :p

What i mean is i can't prevent lifting on gel nails no matter what :/
I tried curing one nail at a time so that it won't drill and touch the skin.. but it also failed. I do cover the free edge of the nails, but somehow i wonder if it is possible for this to cause the lifting because if the gel on the free edge breaks somehow it ruins the whole nail, no?

(about prep i do everything, dry nails, pushing back and cutting the cuticles, buffing, dehydrating, putting on the primer and then the actual gel)

***Sorry for my english, i am greek.

If you have any ideas please reply, thanx alot!

Hi Rita
Welcome to Salon Geek :)

From your post, it doesn't sound like you a qualified nail technician. As such, it goes against this forum's rules to give advice on gel/acrylic/gel polish troubleshooting.
There is a Lot you can learn from an accredited course. Not being from Greece I wouldn't know where these courses would be offered for your location. But believe me, if you are serious about fixing these issues you will get yourself on a proper course.

see, that is not completely true :p i know i sound inexperienced and that is because i am.
But i am building my knowledge step by step. meaning, i just got a seminar for soak off gel nails and i intent to learn officially about the other methods as well.
I just thought it would be a good idea to be part of this community and get the most of information i can.

Athough, i understand if it is against the rules!

Thank you for your kindness! bye :)
