Hi ive recently completed a gel polish course and have bought a few polishes but I don't really like them ... They are very thin and need lots of coats and are tricky to remove.

Which brands would you guys recommend? I'm still in training so don't want to spend a fortune but want to be able to offer good products. Thanks in advance

I'd go with Shellac, OPI, and Gelish. Unknown gel brands are usually very poorly made.

Unfortunately, you have to spend a fortune if you want to offer gel services. And if you can paint regular polish very easily you should have no problems with gel.

I can even sum up the entire process here:

1. Clean up the cuticles thoroughly.
2. Paint thinly.
3. Cure properly according to the manufacturers instructions. Each brand has a system; stick to it. You cannot mismatch products.

It's that simple.

I love opi and gellux, both are really great coverage and last on the clients I have used them on,
Shellac is a good brand, it harder to get hold of (I can get gellux and opi in my local capital)
I have used Bluesky (still do a bit) works fine, lasts fine, but not as well thought of, I have also tried some light elegance stuff, beautiful, but seems expensive (again tricky to get hold of)

with any brand make sure you buy all from a reputable seller :)

I've recently introduced Ink London's iLac alongside Cuccio Veneer and I love both. At the moment I'd say iLac has the edge as it is very reasonably priced and so far I'm very impressed with how well it's lasting and my first order arrived really quickly too.
