Hey guys,

Wondered if i could get a few views from everyone else as im torn.
Im currently using CND, but i wanting to change to something abit more hardy. I'm torn between The gel bottle and the new professional bluesky polish. Whats your views?

Thanks guys xx

I started out using the Gelish system, but am finding The Gel Bottle much more hard wearing xx

If you've definitely narrowed it down to The Gel Bottle or Bluesky then I would say go with The Gel Bottle, especially if you have the CND lamp, which I understand works well with TGB, because I believe they don't currently have a lamp available (I do find this rather strange though!). I don't use their gel polish but I do use their Builder in a Bottle (BIAB) and it's amazing stuff!

Have you also looked at INK London? Their iLac is fab! X

From reading up on The Gel Bottle is sounds really good.

Does anyeone use this currently and if so how much would you charge for a nail set (just gels)?

Thank you

I've read some amazing reviews on the gel bottle, but didn't get know about the lamps as I've been told you need a 48w lamp? X

I would charge the same whatever brand I used x

They have a very active Facebook group that's worth joining. There have been a few mentions recently about the lamp. They used to sell one but it always seemed to be out of stock but they've said they're bringing a new one out very soon. As has been mentioned in many threads on SG, it's not just the wattage of the lamp that determines whether it will cure products properly, although I must admit that's what I used to think too.

In light of the fact TGB's lamp was unavailable, I have been using my INK lamp (which incidentally is 48w) to cure the BIAB and rubber Base coat since October and have always had excellent, long lasting results x

I am have the exact same dilema. I wrk in a salon with opi gel and cnd. However have had great results mobile with Blue Sky. However im settibg a beauty studuo at home and wanted a proffessional look . So have just bought Top base and a colour to trial from Gel in a bottle. And then discovered the pro Blue Sky that looks exactly what i wanted. So am torn. And considering now both. I was thinking £20 Blue Sky and £23 Gel Bottle.
Has any one and quick removal tips for The Gel Bottle inc. Ive heard acetone on cotton wool wrapped with Foil and in bag then towel and heated mitt.

I've tried INK London, the base coat smelt awfully like baby puke [emoji23] unless I'm just weird haha.

I'm very interested in the BIAB, do you apply and cure this like normal gel? Can you just use it on natural nail to give strength? Sorry for the million questions x

That os my next purchase The BIAB. So will keep you posted once ive tried and used it. But im aware that yes it can be used on natural nail x

I use INK 's Flubber Base and haven't noticed a weird smell with that!

BIAB is applied more like a hard gel than a gel polish, but with the brush from the bottle. You can apply it over a natural nail as an overlay to give extra strength or over tips. It is buildable so you can create an apex and it's really nice to work with. It lasts longer than any other hard gel I've used and rarely lifts. It's easy to infill as you can file off the gel polish and see when you've got down to the BIAB as it comes in several natural/nude colours. X

To be honest I rarely remove BIAB, there's no need as it doesn't lift so I just file off the gel polish, Infill and rebalance. If I do need to remove it I use the little soak-off bowls with individual finger pockets with acetone and a detachable base that I fill with warm water. I file the nails first to remove the top coat. It does take about 10-15 mins to remove, depending how thick the layers are x

I think base coats can be funny like that o_O The base coat to CND CP gel polish smells like mouldy feet on a sweaty day.
