Gel polish on acrylic?

Hi guys. I'm new to the trade and wanted to find some answers to some questions I have. Hope you can help.
When you do acrylic and you put a gel colour on top if have colour, do you still use shellac or cheaper alternative.
If you do use shellac how do you set your pricing?

I use blue sky - your price of your acrylics should include the gel polish - I charge £28 and blue sky is only about £X per bottle so if your buying shellac and it’s like £xx it whatever a bottle then you have to set your price in accordance to that x

I charge £5 extra for gel polish on top x

Same as me. I use CND Shellac and charge £5 extra, bit more for ombré/stamping/glitter etc

Reasons why I don't charge more:
I've already done cuticle work with infills
It's over product so no base coat needed
I would've used Shellac topcoat anyway over the acrylics, even if they weren't having Shellac.

So it's really just 2 colour coats
