please help. I've recently transitioned from 4 years in a spa to working in a salon and am finding it hard to make my gels last as long as the other girls and I don't know what I'm doing differently!

I cap the tips every layer and paint as thin as I can in each layer any other tips. it's so upsetting having clients coming back cause they're lifting too early please help. TIA

How are you prepping the nail prior to painting?

Well we push back n nip cuticles, file, buff, clarify, then prep. I have learnt today I was buffing and clarifying in the wrong order
Also one of the girls uses the rough buffer instead of the prep cushion finds its better for taking the shine off

Yep definitely buff then clarify, and give it a good scrub with the clarify too. I don't use the prep cushion either, I use the rougher buffer or I sometimes even use the block buffers you can buy. Don't soak the nail in prep either, just a little bit in the centre of the nail, don't let it touch around by the cuticle. Hope they improve for you, don't let it get to you too much. It's always trial and error X

Wow really?! I've been using prep totally wrong then hah thanks for the advice I will certainly give that a go :)

Hi! Im using geleration colors and base but when I was removing the tacky layer for a desing the color come off with the alcohol. Im using the CND led lamp. Dont know if it is the color because it is a bit old or something else. Please help.

You're using the wrong lamp, you'd need the lamp for your system or it's not going to work.

CND lamp is only for shellac or Brisa.

Hi I use the CND led lamp with geleration and it works perfectly

If the colour is coming off it sounds like the lamp isn't setting the gel? Is it bubbling? You may be applying too thick x

I don't use the cnd lamp but I don't use Jessica lamp with Jessica gel and mine work perfectly no problems x
