Hi

I had Gelish polish applied to my nails 3 days ago and I'm so disappointed with the results, they have already started to chip. Can I take these off myself with just pure Acetone or will I totally reck my nails?

Either you have done something to them or the technician did not apply them correctly. If its not you, go back to the technician as soon as possible.

Gelish should last chip free much longer than that.

without sounding harsh.. you really should contact the salon /therapist who applied your treatment.. so they can deduce what has gone wrong.. its only fair for them to put it right before talking to other people.

See your tech. Mine lasted for nearly 4 weeks with no chipping at all or loss of shine.

Acetone will remove them but I would definitely give the therapist a chance to correct them or remove for you. They will not consider a refund if you complain after removing them.
Gelish is a great product and last weeks normally so it may be down to the therapist xx

Normally I would be straight back to the salon to complain but I had a mobile girl come to my House and she only charged £24 for hands and feet and she has obviously just started out as she had only about 5 colours to choose from. I've noticed that she hasn't gone close enough to the edges with the polish, so there is a fair bit of my natural nail exposed and the nail is breaking on those bits.

Im new to Gelish too and only have a few colours and offer a discounted rate because im slow. I would rather the client came back to me with problems so I can check it out, see where I've possibly gone wrong and fix it. (Thankfully so far I've not had any problems!)
DONT do anything yourself. It doesnt matter where you got it done or how much you paid. You must go back to the Tech.

definatly agree, we as a salon would want to know if a client has any problems as without feedback we wouldn't know if there is a problem so then can't put things right and risk bad word around the local area. Any decent salon should fix it for you, we offer free fixes for gel and gelish nail treatments within 7days as our policy I would hope that they wouldnt try to charge you. My nails are very weak naturaly and have had acrylics and gels on for the past 12 years so i am used to the strength. I changed to gelish to promote this in our salon about 4 months ago and even with my thin nails plus working full time catching them with files mine last atleast 2 weeks without a chip, but 99% of our clients last 3-4 to even 6 weeks with it, I find the stronger your nails the longer it will last. Hope this helps but go back and see them ;)
