Gelish Structure gel, Vitagel, Recovery?

I have a few ladies that have thin weak nails that have gelish. I was intending on purchasing one or more of the above products but they're confusing me. Which is best for strength please? And also do you charge any extra for adding this?

Structure gel is a clear gel that is great for nail art (encapsulated items) and to give some strength to the nail to hold the gel polish better WITHOUT healing it.

Vitagel is a formula meant to repair the damaged nails. The strengthener is meant for natural healthy nails, while the recovery is meant for weak nails.

If you want to help your client to repair her weak nails, I'd go with Vitagel recovery.
If you want just to have some strength to hold the gel polish better, get the structure gel

Hi there thanks for your reply to me the health and healing of their nail is more important but to them it's the strength. I should mention the particular women I am talking about have changed from either acrylic or hard gel extentions so are struggling with the strength change. Will the recovery one add strength too as well as repair?

It seems to be quite thick so probably. I'm just not sure if recovery has to be used on bare nails or if it can go along with Gelish
If it can you can always use both. Recovery, structure and polish. Or recovery polish and structure. Either would work.
But check that detail first

Ive been reading through a few other threads on here and a few have mentioned that the gelish mani only lasts a week with the vitagel which is disappointing considering it's pricey. They also mentioned using it as a weekly treatment to repair their nails but I know my clients wouldn't be happy with that. They want a gel mani to last two plus weeks with the strength to help their nails grow so I'm definitely going to go for the structure gel and give the vitagel a miss. I'm sure On the website it says vitagel can be used with normal Polish or replace your foundation xx

Hi Steffanie - I've been qualified in Gelish since April & am building up a client base - I use Structure Gel on most of my clients - it's great for added strength over colour or to even out ridges before using colour. I haven't tried vitagel yet so can't comment on that - but I have ladies coming to me who have given up acrylics (NSS) and are growing beautiful strong nails - also a prolific nail biter who is now growing nails , I love structure gel & don't charge as ladies come to me specifically for SG - it's worth the money as a small pot goes a long way & your clients will love it x

That is a good point thank you I never thought of it that way. if you don't mind me asking how much do you charge for a gelish manicure? I know every area is different. I charge £15 as it seems to be the rate where I am. Do you find a big difference between using the structure gel and not using it? Xx

As I am newly qualified & still finding my feet I only charge £15 x Most of my clients are working mums & these are the ladies I use SG on. I have older ladies too but they are less demanding on their nails so don't need it x

Could you not use the structure gel over the colour & really really push them to use their nails oils?
I have the same issue and I suggest my ladies buy CND solar oil to penetrate the gels & help keep their nails healthy x
